Make the cards
Ask a grown-up to write three moments on separate pieces of paper: someone lends you a crayon; you accidentally knock over a tower; you want to join a game. No names or personal stories are needed.
On three more cards, write: “Thank you for sharing”; “I’m sorry. May I help rebuild it?”; and “May I join in?” Read all six cards together.
Try a match
Place a words card beside each moment. For the crayon, try “Thank you for sharing.” For the fallen tower, try an apology and an offer to help. To join a game, try asking first.
These are examples, not magic words. The other person can still say no. You can be disappointed and still respect their choice. Talk with your grown-up about another activity you could choose.
Practise away from the screen
Swap roles and act out a pretend scene using toys. You do not need to record it, upload it, or tell the website how it went. There is no score.
For a screen-free extension, draw a new imaginary moment and invent a helpful sentence together. Keep it kind and specific. The grown-up can help if any part feels confusing.
